Ok i changed my clutch a couple of weeks ago so i decided to change the oil on my manual tranny. I looked on the forums for the right oil to use and found that we could use the atf+4. So i went and bought some castrol atf+4 2qtz. but i felt that it was very hard to shift into 1st from a complete stop sometimes i had to shift to 2nd then 1st and even then very hard to engage. After searching a little more online i found that Royal purples Syncromax suposedly for manual transmisions was a direct replacement for our trannys. So i decided to shell out the $18.99 each qt to see if it made a diffrence. And to my amazement it had a definite improvement no hard shifting into 1st at dead stop but i have only used it a couple of days and i am woundering if this oil is hurting the internals of the tranny. Has any one used or are using this Syncromax on thier tranny.

Hello fellow avenger lovers, hopefully someone can guide me in buying a new clutch for my car. Want to spend up to $450 for a decent one but not looking for a stock one or an over the top high end one. Not planning on putting any real horsepower on it for now but a couple of bolt ons. I was looking to buy a spec stage 2 one but not sure it comes with a flywheel and if its any good. Fyi i drive an avenger '96 2.0/5speed.
