I talked very reputable company, and they will make headers for our cars.

They are kinda spendy, mainly because of the shipping price.

They are going to be a copy of the FIRST set of XERD headers.

Specs: Pipes are supplied as mandrel bent mild steel. The company does not use stainless steel due to the continual contraction / expansion process which causes the metal to crack over time.

I can check on prices to get them cermaic coated if you would like. You would pay shipping from DM to the Coater then to you.

My XERD headers are starting to deteriorate.

BTW anyone w/ the original run of ceramic coated XERD headers, check the bend from the front bank for rust.

A "downpipe" will be included with the headers

You will get a front header, rear header, and downpipe/collector pipe - this replaces everything in front of the catalytic converter

It really depends on when the list gets high enough. But when there is at least ten people on the list, everyone will need to send in the payment in FULL.

Are these going to be long tube headers or the short tube that XIR/XERD made? I notice on the other thread that the picture is of the 3g eclipse long tubes.

I would be willing to give up my short tube for long tube any day of the week.

The shipping cost *to me* is already figured into the pricing.

Only extra charges are shipping to you, ceramic coating if you choose to get it, and 6% sales tax if you are in the state of Pennsylvania.

what kinda of hp numbers from a headers install are we looking at lets say on a stock lxi with a 2.5

15-20whp gain they have shown, more on some cars.

Interesting did not realize how restrictive the stock exhaust manifold were on there motors (is this rwd hp or flywheel?)

Headers are one of the biggest performance mods you can buy for the Venge; they do alot.
They're worth every penny.
If you don't buy them, you're missing out.
High-performance downpipes don't even compare. (sorry Sroufe)
If you buy headers here you'll also be helping the other guys who want them.

Would love to pick up a set of headers for my car but, I can see spending $600.00 for a set.
als know me (i come from owning 600+ camaros etc) if i start messing around with my daily car it wont stop there lol .... I will start adding power once a 5 speed convertion comes along... I just dont see the point of adding power to a weak trans set up as is if modified trans still blow up under a few mods. boy i know i am going to get allot of slack from you guys but sometime i wish i got the 4 banger with a 5 speed i have many friends with that set up and the car seems so much more fun in that config ...
