Dyno'd my Sebring at Carlisle today. For those that know, don't spoil it for others.

Try and guess even though it was slightly disappointing...

Here's a vid of it. JPRacer also has a vid of it, prolly better quality.

I was slightly disappointed. I was hoping for 180. But man when that biznich was pulling on teh dyno it sounded awesome! Esp. in person. I had a lot of ppl watching. The one guy said " Who's dyno'ing a Sebring Lxi? " I really wanted to say something to him but I kept quiet.

Jeff (Stratthis) from Sphere dyno's his turbo'd 2.4L Stratus sedan there, too.
~240HP. Not bad for coming in right off the Turnpike and driving right to the dyno.

Told you, you wouldn't dyno at 200whp

I said 170-180whp, and you didn't believe me.

yeah, that doesn't surprise me much, about right for a 3.0L sadly in our cars. Nice guess essej, and I wish I had seen that on the dyno today.

I'll get there sooner or later.

I seriously am thinking of going all motor and being teh first to break 200 whp w/o boost or juice.

It really did sound awesome. I did have a small crowd watching. I liked when he finally let off the gas and let it wind down. G/F said it sounded like a Lambo backfiring.

seriously, don't waste your money. if you wanna make power, use a power adder. with as much as you'd spend on an all motor build, you would still be way behind in power compared to boost or juice.

Yeah my version of your pulls are in AVI @ 25 MB a piece. I will try to get them up on photobucket, but it'll strip them down to 1 MB probably, lol.
I dynoed my car right after his... we were the last two cars done at the show

Well, I'm actually thinking of juicing it as well. I just want to break 200 whp b4 I add juice.

back in the days I remember seeing Hoot's homemade 2.5l v6 turbo pulling 200something on the same dyno
i think that dyno setup is generous by the way
typical loss in an A604 is at least 35 hp so that would make you around 200 crank

I pulled 170 / 177 with a few less mods than you. But I was on a Dynojet.

So what do you think Alain? You think it's possible to hit 200 whp at the wheels w/o a built motor, juice, or boost?

doable yes but you won't gain the needed 34 hp with boltons
you would need a good exhaust system with long tube headers , agressive camshafts (bye bye idle) , a set of ported heads, more compression like 12:1 and a good way to tune your fuel needs
and the loss in the A604 is in % so for 200 wheel you would need 245-250 crank

Buy a set of RPW long tube headers and fab up a new front roll stop so you can do away with the stock crossmember.

Well, right now I'm gonna just get the tranny redone the end of August, and try the remaining bolt ons before any engine work gets done and see where I stand. I'm saving engine work for last.
